Amazon India has expanded its footprint in the healthcare space with the launch of Amazon Diagnostics, a new at-home diagnostic service aimed at offering customers lab testing with doorstep sample collection and fast digital reporting—all integrated within the Amazon app.
The service is currently available in six major cities—Bengaluru, Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Mumbai, and Hyderabad—covering more than 450 pin codes and offering access to over 800 diagnostic tests.
Through a partnership with Orange Health Labs, Amazon now allows customers to schedule sample collections within 60 minutes and receive digital reports for routine tests in as little as six hours, the company said in a statement.
“Amazon Diagnostics represents a significant step forward in making healthcare more accessible, reliable and convenient for all our customers,” said Jayaramakrishnan Balasubramanian, Category Leader at Amazon Medical.
“By providing high-quality, doctor-verified lab testing seamlessly integrated into the Amazon app, we are empowering our customers with world-class diagnostic facilities from the comfort of their home,” he added.
The new offering strengthens Amazon Medical, the company’s broader healthcare initiative, which already includes pharmacy services and telehealth clinics. With this move, Amazon positions itself as a one-stop platform for end-to-end healthcare needs, combining teleconsultations, medicine delivery, and now accredited diagnostic testing.
The launch comes amid growing consumer demand for fast, convenient medical services—a trend that is driving healthtech players to innovate around rapid testing, online consultations, and home-based care. Amazon’s entry into diagnostics could signal increased competition in India’s rapidly evolving digital health ecosystem.
