Manish Sehgal Joins JSW as Head of Information Security to Lead Cybersecurity Strategy Across Group Companies

JSW Group has appointed Manish Sehgal as the new Head of Information Security, marking a key leadership move to strengthen cybersecurity governance across its diverse business verticals. In this pivotal role, Sehgal will be responsible for driving the cybersecurity strategy and risk management initiatives for all JSW entities, including its steel, energy, cement, infrastructure, paints, and mobility businesses.

Bringing with him over 20 years of expertise in cybersecurity and risk management, Sehgal has a strong reputation for designing and executing security frameworks that are scalable, business-aligned, and resilient. His appointment underscores JSW’s growing emphasis on embedding robust cybersecurity measures into its digital transformation journey.

“In this strategic leadership role, he will oversee cybersecurity governance and strategy across all JSW group companies, including steel, energy, cement, infrastructure, paints, and mobility businesses.”

Before joining JSW, Sehgal served as the Chief Information Security Officer and Vice President – Customer Experience at CloudSEK, a prominent cybersecurity firm. His career also includes leadership positions at well-known organizations such as AU SMALL FINANCE BANK, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, VFS Global, and Wipro. These roles have equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity challenges across industries ranging from BFSI to IT services.

At JSW, Sehgal will focus on integrating cybersecurity at the foundation of the group’s digital initiatives. “His focus will be on embedding cybersecurity into the core of digital transformation efforts, ensuring risk resilience and compliance with global standards such as ISO 27001 and NIST, while supporting innovation and business growth.”

This strategic move comes at a time when cybersecurity has become critical to sustaining trust, compliance, and operational continuity, especially in sectors like infrastructure and manufacturing. With Sehgal at the helm of JSW’s cybersecurity efforts, the company is expected to reinforce its defenses against emerging threats while enabling secure innovation across its business units.
