At Amazon, he served as Country Manager for India, where he played a pivotal role in expanding the company’s footprint in the e-commerce sector and enhancing customer-centric operations.
Prior to Amazon, Tiwary spent several years at Unilever, holding critical regional and global leadership roles. His work at Unilever included responsibilities in sales, customer development, and modern trade. During his tenure, he led initiatives across diverse markets, from India to the Gulf and North Africa, with a strong emphasis on rural outreach, digital transformation of traditional trade, and omnichannel development.
Tiwary is widely recognized for leading innovations that have had a lasting impact on the consumer goods landscape. “Tiwary’s vast experience spans markets across India, the Gulf, and North Africa, and includes pioneering work in e-commerce, rural distribution, and digitization of traditional trade.” Notably, he was behind Unilever’s acclaimed Shakti initiative—a rural empowerment and distribution model that gained international attention—as well as advancements in sales technology that set global benchmarks.
