Bengaluru-based cyber resilience startup Mitigata has secured $5.9 million in Series A funding, with the round led by Nexus Venture Partners and participation from existing backers Titan Capital and WEH Ventures. The funding will help the company scale its presence across India and key global markets, while enhancing its AI capabilities and expanding its talent pool.
Founded in 2021 by Mohit Anand, Sarthak Dubey, Mayank Morya, and Akshit Kaushik, Mitigata offers an AI-powered, full-stack cyber resilience platform that integrates cybersecurity, compliance, risk management, and cyber insurance under a single solution.
“Most businesses still treat cyber insurance and security as separate cost centers, often relying on fragmented vendors and siloed solutions,” said Mohit Anand, CEO of Mitigata. “We’ve reimagined and Indianised the model—delivering integrated, high-impact cyber resilience tailored to the unique needs of Indian organisations.”
With digital transformation accelerating across Indian enterprises, the demand for unified platforms that address both cyber threats and financial risk is increasing. Mitigata aims to close this gap by offering a comprehensive solution that supports every stage of the cyber risk lifecycle—from threat prevention and response to insurance-backed risk transfer.
The company plans to set up three security operations centres in Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Delhi, which will provide AI-driven threat detection, incident response, and managed security services. Mitigata’s proprietary technology includes RELIQ, a cyber risk quantification engine that offers real-time risk visibility and dynamic threat assessments.
Additionally, the startup has developed an AI-powered underwriting engine that uses live threat intelligence and posture scores to structure and price cyber insurance. Mitigata is also India’s first IRDAI-regulated insurance broker focused solely on cyber coverage, with partnerships across major insurers including HDFC ERGO, ICICI Lombard, TATA AIG, Bajaj Allianz, and New India Assurance.
Currently serving over 500 enterprises across 25 industries, Mitigata provides services such as attack surface monitoring, phishing simulations, digital forensics, penetration testing, and 24/7 threat operations.
Anand Datta, Partner at Nexus Venture Partners, noted, “We believe the future of cybersecurity and insurance is an integrated, full-stack approach. Mitigata is pioneering a new AI-led services approach to cyber resilience… Their model is precisely what Indian enterprises need to thrive securely.”
