Neo4j, the world’s leading graph intelligence platform, has unveiled a $100 million investment aimed at accelerating product innovation and supporting AI-native companies, marking one of the largest startup-focused initiatives in the enterprise AI space. The funding will advance the launch of Neo4j Aura Agent and Model Context Protocol Server, two flagship tools designed to make it easier for developers to build intelligent AI agents grounded in enterprise data.
The new products target one of the biggest challenges in enterprise AI — fragmented, siloed systems and limited contextual reasoning. By leveraging Neo4j’s graph database technology, the tools enable agentic systems to access and understand interconnected data at scale, leading to more accurate, explainable, and reliable AI outcomes.
“Agentic systems are the future of software. They need contextual reasoning, persistent memory, and accurate, traceable outputs, all of which graph technology is uniquely designed to deliver,” said Emil Eifrem, co-founder and CEO of Neo4j. He added that graph-based architectures are becoming foundational for AI systems that must reason across complex relationships and large, dynamic datasets.
The announcement follows a period of significant growth for Neo4j. The company has reported a six-fold increase in GenAI customer adoption, a 58 percent rise in cloud consumption revenue, and expanded deployments with global enterprises including Uber, Walmart, and Klarna. These milestones underscore the growing importance of connected data for powering enterprise-grade AI applications.
As part of its growth strategy, Neo4j also introduced key leadership updates. Sudhir Hasbe has been elevated to President and Chief Product Officer, while Ajay Singh, formerly with Databricks, joins as Head of Global Field Engineering. The company noted that these changes reflect its focus on deepening customer engagement and scaling product innovation.
Neo4j, which crossed $200 million in annual revenue last year, continues to solidify its position as a foundational layer for AI systems that demand reasoning, transparency, and traceability. With its latest investment and new product offerings, the company is setting the stage for the next generation of intelligent, graph-powered AI ecosystems designed to bridge data silos and bring true contextual intelligence to enterprise applications.
