UBS Appoints Yogendra Gadilkar as Director to Lead Next-Generation Enterprise Architecture

UBS has appointed Yogendra Gadilkar as Director, adding a seasoned technology leader to its global engineering organisation. With extensive experience across Citi, Deutsche Bank, Oracle Financial Services Software Limited (OFSS), and LTI – Larsen & Toubro Infotech, Yogendra steps into a role focused on strengthening UBS’s enterprise systems with modern architectural frameworks. His new mandate places emphasis on Microfrontends, Microservices, Microsoft Azure, and Generative AI, aligning with the bank’s broader strategy to build future-ready, AI-enhanced platforms that deliver high performance, scalability, and global operational efficiency.
Yogendra’s career has been defined by his work in transforming large-scale financial technology ecosystems. He has consistently led initiatives that leverage cloud-native architectures, AI-driven engineering practices, and robust automation to modernize legacy environments and support complex global delivery models. His expertise spans solution architecture, platform modernization, cloud engineering, and the design of enterprise-grade distributed systems—capabilities that position him strongly to contribute to UBS’s next phase of transformation.
At Citi, Yogendra played a pivotal role in modernizing core architecture by adopting Java 17, Spring Boot, Kafka, AWS, and Google Gemini. In this role, he not only advanced the technology stack but also mentored engineering teams and strengthened the organization’s DevOps-first mindset. His leadership accelerated release cycles, improved system reliability, and enhanced overall engineering culture across teams.
His earlier experience at Deutsche Bank, OFSS, and LTI further broadened his architectural and engineering portfolio. Across these roles, Yogendra worked on modernizing mission-critical systems, optimizing backend performance, improving CI/CD pipelines, and driving Agile delivery for high-availability financial platforms. His contributions helped global teams adopt more efficient engineering practices, reduce technical debt, and build resilient, scalable systems capable of supporting large enterprise operations.
