India’s border defence capabilities have taken a significant leap forward with the launch of the Indrajaal Ranger, the country’s first fully mobile, AI-enabled Anti-Drone Patrol Vehicle. Developed by Indrajaal Drone Defence, the Ranger is designed for continuous, real-time patrolling and dynamic drone interception—ushering in a major shift from conventional stationary counter-drone systems. This mobility-first architecture positions the Ranger as a critical new asset in safeguarding India’s borders, internal regions, and vulnerable communities against rapidly evolving aerial threats.
CEO and Founder Kiran Raju emphasized the high-stakes urgency driving this innovation, stressing that every drone neutralised protects lives and strengthens India’s internal security. He reiterated that Indrajaal’s mission is rooted in a larger national imperative: to defend freedom through next generation autonomous defence technologies powered by the company’s SkyOS engine. This platform enables the Ranger to detect, classify, track, and neutralize hostile drones with speed and precision, even while in motion—capabilities that traditional fixed systems cannot offer.
The significance of this breakthrough was further highlighted by Guest of Honour Lieutenant General Devendra Pratap Pandey, who described the Ranger as a shield for India’s youth, farmers, and border communities. He underscored that AI-driven patrol vehicles like the Ranger will play an instrumental role in countering ISI-linked smuggling networks and dismantling the extensive drug trafficking ecosystem that heavily relies on drone corridors. With adversaries increasingly utilizing autonomous aerial systems for cross-border infiltration, the need for mobile, high-intelligence countermeasures has never been more critical.
Built to operate seamlessly across diverse terrain—including border roads, canal routes, agricultural belts, critical infrastructure zones, and densely populated urban regions—the Indrajaal Ranger brings unprecedented flexibility to national security operations. Its ability to patrol continuously, respond instantly to aerial threats, and intercept drones on the move will greatly reduce the time window available to hostile actors, effectively disrupting illegal supply chains and strengthening surveillance coverage.
As India faces escalating drone-led security challenges, the Indrajaal Ranger marks a groundbreaking advancement in autonomous defence. By combining mobility, AI-driven intelligence, and a mission-focused design, it sets a new benchmark for counter-drone warfare and reinforces the safety of those living and serving on the nation’s frontlines.
