
Edelman has strengthened its regional leadership by appointing Pooja Rawat as the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) for India and the Asia-Pacific region, a move that underscores the firm’s focus on expanding its strategic and insights-driven capabilities. With extensive experience across advertising, brand strategy, and consumer insights, Pooja steps into the role with a track record of shaping impactful brand narratives and leading cross-functional strategy teams across some of the industry’s most respected organisations.
Pooja joins Edelman after serving as Executive Vice President (Strategy) at MullenLowe Lintas Group, where she previously held several key positions including Associate Vice President, Senior Brand Planning Director, and Brand Planning Director. Her journey through the Lintas ecosystem allowed her to influence brand-building efforts for a wide range of clients, helping sharpen their market positioning and consumer engagement strategies. Before Lintas, she contributed her expertise to agencies such as Leo Burnett, Tilt Brand Solutions, and Quantum Consumer Solutions: Insight & Design Strategy, where she worked across personal care, food and beverages, sports, travel, and other major consumer categories.
Throughout her career, Pooja has shaped brand narratives and consumer-focused strategies for organisations such as Publicis Advertising, Johnson & Johnson, and DESIGN CELL within the Lintas ecosystem. Her work has spanned qualitative research, integrated strategy development, and business leadership, enabling her to manage and grow critical accounts including PhonePe and Jeep. Her ability to blend insight-led strategy with strong creative thinking has been central to her leadership approach.
In her new position at Edelman, Pooja will be responsible for strengthening the firm’s strategic framework across India and APAC by leveraging her deep knowledge of consumer behaviour, brand planning, and creative business solutions. She brings a powerful combination of qualitative research expertise, multi-category experience, and an ability to uncover meaningful cultural and audience insights—capabilities that will support Edelman’s ambitions to deepen its advisory offerings and accelerate growth in the region.
Pooja’s appointment signals Edelman’s commitment to investing in high-calibre strategy leadership as it continues to expand its influence in the communications and brand consulting landscape across India and the wider Asia-Pacific market.
