Wipro has strengthened its global technology leadership with the appointment of Dr. Jai Ganesh as Vice President of Technology, bringing on board a seasoned innovator with more than twenty years of experience across AI, Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, Quantum Computing, and enterprise-wide digital transformation. His arrival marks a strategic move for Wipro as it continues to deepen its focus on cutting-edge technologies and build next-generation solutions for global clients.
Dr. Jai previously served as Chief Product Officer at HARMAN International, where he played a pivotal role in establishing and scaling global service lines spanning AI, Data, Cloud, Customer Experience, and Enterprise Automation. During his leadership at HARMAN, he shaped product and solution strategy and delivered AI-first innovations across Industrial, Manufacturing, Communications, Healthcare, Retail, and Hospitality sectors. He also led the development of advanced platforms such as Genesis, ForecastGPT, HealthGPT, and the Intelligent Healthcare Platform. In addition to product innovation, he strengthened HARMAN’s global technology ecosystem by forging collaborations with hyperscalers, academic institutions, analysts, and technology start-ups worldwide.
Before joining Wipro, Dr. Jai held influential leadership roles at Mphasis, Cognizant, and Infosys, where he consistently drove breakthrough innovations in emerging technologies. At Mphasis, he headed NEXT Labs and delivered globally recognised work that earned accolades such as the Cloud Analytics Product of the Year, the One Globe Award, and the prestigious AIConics Award. His tenure at Cognizant saw him lead the SMAC Solutions unit, where he built IP-led solutions and set up groundbreaking research and partnership initiatives with organisations including ESRC (UK), Oxford University, Lancaster University, Web Science Trust, and IIIT Bangalore. Earlier in his career at Infosys, he served as Principal Research Scientist, leading the Pervasive Computing Institute and contributing to research advancements, intellectual property creation, and new product development.
