Alvarez & Marsal has appointed Nachiketa Joshi as Managing Director, strengthening its leadership bench as the firm continues to advise investors and portfolio companies on complex transactions, operational transformations, and performance improvement initiatives. The appointment reflects Nachiketa’s steady progression within the firm and his expanding role in leading high-impact assignments across commercial diligence, restructuring strategy, and execution support in multiple sectors.
Nachiketa’s journey at Alvarez & Marsal has been marked by increasing responsibility and scope. Having advanced from Director – Private Equity to Senior Director before taking on the Managing Director role, he has played a central part in shaping value creation strategies for private equity clients and corporates navigating challenging business environments. His work spans end-to-end deal lifecycles, from pre-investment commercial diligence to post-transaction transformation and turnaround execution, often in situations requiring hands-on operational intervention.
Before joining Alvarez & Marsal, Nachiketa spent more than a decade at GenNx360 Capital Partners India Advisors. During this period, he was deeply involved in investment evaluation, portfolio monitoring, and turnaround initiatives, gaining first-hand experience in driving performance improvements within portfolio companies. This exposure helped him develop a strong foundation in practical value creation, working closely with management teams to stabilise operations, improve governance, and unlock growth.
Earlier in his career, Nachiketa held leadership roles at EY as Assistant Director, where he delivered transaction advisory and restructuring engagements for clients across industries. He began his professional journey as an Analyst at Wachovia Securities (now Wells Fargo), where he developed core financial analysis and capital markets skills that continue to underpin his advisory work today.
An alumnus of NMIMS, Nachiketa brings together financial discipline, operational insight, and long-term restructuring expertise. This combination has made him a trusted advisor to private equity funds, investors, and management teams dealing with complex business challenges, stressed assets, and transformation mandates. In his new role as Managing Director at Alvarez & Marsal, he is expected to further expand the firm’s capabilities in transaction-led transformations and performance improvement, while continuing to deliver tangible outcomes for clients navigating uncertainty and change.
