Thyrocare Technologies Limited has strengthened its senior leadership with the appointment of Rajdeep Panwar as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), as the diagnostics major looks to accelerate growth, deepen customer engagement, and expand its presence across India. In his new role, Panwar will take charge of the company’s overall commercial strategy and profit-and-loss performance, playing a central role in shaping Thyrocare’s next phase of scale.
Panwar brings more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare and diagnostics industry, with a track record spanning commercial operations, multi-market expansion, and the management of large, multi-centre diagnostic networks. Over the course of his career, he has been involved in setting up and operating more than 200 diagnostic laboratories and has been part of the founding teams behind two healthcare ventures, giving him hands-on exposure to both early-stage growth and scaled operations.
Prior to joining Thyrocare, Panwar was Director at GHL Pharma & Diagnostics Ltd. (GHL–Medanta), where he played a key role in expanding Medanta Labs across North India. His earlier career includes senior leadership roles at Apollo Diagnostics, Johnson & Johnson, and Dr. Lal PathLabs. Across these organisations, he worked on a wide range of functions, including commercial strategy, business development, technical operations, customer support, process excellence, accreditation, and organisational transformation.
At Thyrocare, Panwar will oversee all commercial functions end to end. His responsibilities will span the franchise and corporate businesses, direct-to-consumer channels, customer relationship management, customer operations, catalogue management, and radiology services. A key focus of his mandate will be driving revenue growth, improving customer experience, and expanding Thyrocare’s reach across geographies.
“I am excited to join Thyrocare at a pivotal phase of its growth. The company’s mission to make high-quality diagnostics affordable and accessible across India strongly resonates with me,” Panwar said. “With its deep partner network and strong scientific foundation, Thyrocare is well positioned to get closer to patients and drive meaningful impact at scale.”
Rahul Guha, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of API Holdings, said the appointment comes at an important time for the business. “Having strong commercial leadership is key. Rajdeep brings deep experience in building and expanding diagnostics businesses in India. We believe his leadership will help strengthen our market approach and deepen engagement with customers and partners,” Guha said.
Guha added that Panwar’s appointment, alongside the recent induction of Dr. Kinha as Chief Operating Officer, enhances the company’s leadership depth. “In combination with Dr. Kinha, who brings deep operational and quality expertise, the Thyrocare leadership team is best in class and well positioned to win in this growing market,” he said.
