
IBM has elevated Kiran Raghupathy to the role of Director – Digital Sales (India & South Asia), marking a significant leadership milestone in his long tenure with the company. In this expanded position, Raghupathy will lead IBM’s digital sales strategy across the region, with a focus on strengthening go-to-market execution, accelerating enterprise technology adoption, and deepening customer engagement across IBM’s broad and complex portfolio of solutions.
The appointment reflects IBM’s continued emphasis on scaling digital-led sales motions and aligning them closely with evolving enterprise needs across India and South Asia. Raghupathy will work closely with regional and global teams to drive growth through digital channels, optimize customer journeys, and enable organizations to adopt advanced technologies across hybrid cloud, AI, and infrastructure platforms. His role is expected to play a key part in reinforcing IBM’s presence among large enterprises as well as fast-growing digital-native organizations.
Raghupathy brings more than 20 years of experience across enterprise technology, customer success, pre-sales, and solution architecture. Prior to this elevation, he held several senior leadership roles at IBM, including Director – Customer Success (India & South Asia), Customer Success Leader, and Country Leader – Technology Systems. In these positions, he was instrumental in building high-impact customer success programs, strengthening long-term client relationships, and driving adoption of mission-critical technologies.
Before joining IBM, Raghupathy built a strong foundation across leading technology organizations such as Nutanix, Dell Technologies (EMC & Dell India), Logoworks, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and Microland Limited. Across these roles, he led solution consulting, partner pre-sales initiatives, and large-scale enterprise engagements, gaining deep exposure to diverse industries and complex IT environments. This breadth of experience has shaped his ability to connect technical solutions with business outcomes.
