Wowza has appointed Jon Corley as its new Chief Technology Officer, tasking him with leading the company’s technology vision, engineering roadmap, and product innovation strategy. Based in Phoenix, Arizona, Corley steps into the role with a clear focus on advancing the intersection of live streaming and artificial intelligence.
In his new position, Corley will work on strengthening Wowza’s live streaming capabilities through AI integration, helping developers move beyond traditional video delivery models toward intelligent, agent-driven media pipelines. His mandate includes enabling next-generation streaming experiences as Wowza continues to expand and evolve its platform offerings.
Before joining Wowza in February 2026, Corley served as Senior Vice President of Product & Platform Engineering at Internet Tool & Die Company, where he spent over four years leading technology implementation and platform engineering initiatives. His tenure there was marked by a strong emphasis on engineering leadership and scalable platform development.
Earlier, he held senior leadership roles at Comcast Technology Solutions, including Vice President of Product Development Engineering. He also served as Vice President of Content Delivery Network at Comcast, contributing to advancements in content delivery infrastructure and engineering innovation across large-scale media networks.
Corley’s experience also includes nearly five years at Brightcove, where he served as CTO and Senior Vice President of Engineering and Operations. In that capacity, he led global engineering teams and played a key role in shaping scalable digital media platforms and monetization solutions for enterprise customers.
At Wowza, Corley is currently focused on what he describes as the convergence of live streaming and AI, supporting developers as they transition from passive video delivery systems to intelligent, “agentic” media pipelines capable of dynamic transformations and automation.
His appointment signals Wowza’s continued commitment to innovation and its ambition to strengthen its position in the rapidly evolving AI-driven streaming ecosystem, where automation, intelligence, and scalability are becoming central to the future of digital media delivery.
