
Anuj Gandhi has been named Chief Business Officer – Digital Entertainment at Reliance Jio, a move that underlines the company’s continued focus on building a consumer-first digital entertainment ecosystem in India. In this new leadership role at Jio Platforms Limited, Gandhi will be responsible for shaping the strategy and overseeing operations across JioTV, JioTV+, and Jio TeleOS. He will also steer content planning and acquisition efforts, along with forging key strategic partnerships.
His mandate extends across commercial, product, sales, and delivery verticals, positioning him at the centre of Jio’s efforts to create a world-class entertainment platform designed specifically for connected TV and large-screen viewing experiences.
This appointment marks a return to Reliance Jio for Gandhi, who had earlier served as Head of Partnerships for the company’s cable business. Over the years, he has built deep expertise in media distribution and content monetisation. He previously founded and led Streambox Media Pvt Ltd. and Plug and Play Entertainment, and has held senior leadership roles at IndiaCast Media Distribution Pvt Ltd., Network18, Viacom18, and DEN Networks Limited.
Across these organisations, Gandhi played a pivotal role in shaping distribution frameworks and revenue strategies within India’s evolving broadcast and digital media sectors. His latest appointment signals Jio’s intent to further scale its digital entertainment portfolio and reinforce its presence in the highly competitive streaming and connected TV landscape.
