Saravanan Rajaram has been elevated to Associate Director – Cybersecurity Strategy, Agentic AI & Infrastructure Automation at HCLTech. In this expanded strategic role based in Bengaluru, he will lead the organization’s global cybersecurity roadmap while accelerating the adoption of Agentic AI to enable autonomous security operations at scale.
His mandate centers on reshaping enterprise-wide infrastructure through predictive policy analytics, Zero Trust architecture, and AI-powered orchestration across complex, multi-vendor firewall environments. The focus is not only on strengthening defense mechanisms but also on building intelligent, self-governing systems capable of proactive threat mitigation and operational resilience.
Saravanan’s elevation follows a distinguished 20-year journey within HCLTech, where he has played a foundational role in shaping the company’s global security and infrastructure capabilities. Most recently, as General Manager – Cybersecurity Strategy, Innovation & Infrastructure Automation (April 2021 to February 2026), he led worldwide initiatives spanning AI-driven security automation, cloud security architecture, and large-scale infrastructure modernization.
During this phase, he integrated advanced orchestration and automation platforms such as Palo Alto XSOAR and Red Hat Ansible to enhance security response times, improve compliance posture, and optimize cross-functional collaboration. His work also covered cloud security implementations involving Palo Alto Prisma SASE and Zscaler, alongside broader IT governance and compliance frameworks.
Earlier in his tenure at HCLTech, Saravanan held several progressive leadership positions, each expanding his global remit and strategic influence. As DGM – Global Infrastructure Services & Infra Compliance (2018–2021), he strengthened cloud governance and enterprise compliance standards across distributed environments. Prior to that, as AGM – IT Security Vertical Head (Global) (2016–2018) and Group Technical Manager – IT Security Vertical Head (Global) (2013–2016), he oversaw security budgeting, global policy alignment, and cybersecurity program execution across regions.
Between 2010 and 2013, he served as Senior Manager – Global IT Services, followed by Manager and Deputy Manager roles within Global IT Services from 2006 onward. Across these assignments, he built deep expertise in network infrastructure architecture, cybersecurity operations, and mission-critical systems management.
With nearly three decades of total experience in the broader IT landscape, including foundational roles at IBM and Magcomm prior to joining HCLTech, Saravanan brings a comprehensive understanding of enterprise networks, regulatory compliance ecosystems, and large-scale transformation programs.
By combining his long-standing institutional knowledge of HCLTech with a forward-looking focus on quantum-ready security, Zero Trust frameworks, and autonomous governance models, Saravanan now leads the firm’s next-generation cyber resilience agenda. His elevation signals HCLTech’s continued emphasis on integrating AI-driven intelligence into security operations while modernizing infrastructure to meet the demands of increasingly complex digital enterprises.
