
Himanshu Khanna has been appointed as Group Chief Marketing Officer at CKA Birla Group, marking a significant leadership addition for the $3 billion multinational conglomerate. In his new capacity, Khanna will steer the group’s overarching brand strategy, lead marketing transformation initiatives across its portfolio businesses, and champion consumer-centric, digital-first growth programs aimed at reinforcing market leadership and brand equity.
He joins the group after serving as Chief Marketing Officer at Raymond Limited, where he headed the Lifestyle Division. During his tenure, he oversaw the transformation of the company’s nearly $1-billion lifestyle business, repositioning it with a sharper consumer focus and a digital-first operating approach. He also managed a diverse portfolio of brands, driving both performance and long-term brand value.
In his new role at CKA Birla Group, Khanna will be responsible for shaping marketing excellence across a broad and diversified business portfolio that includes entities such as Birlasoft, Orient Electric, BirlaNu (formerly HIL), and CK Birla Healthcare. His mandate includes aligning brand positioning across these businesses while accelerating digital integration and customer engagement strategies.
With more than three decades of experience, Khanna is widely regarded for his ability to refresh and modernise established brands for contemporary audiences. His career spans senior leadership roles across leading Indian and global organisations, including RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group, Beam Suntory, GSK, Wrigley, PepsiCo, Cadbury Gifting India, and Nestlé. Over the years, he has built deep expertise in P&L leadership, brand building, and market expansion across the FMCG and lifestyle sectors.
During his stint at the RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group, he played a key role in scaling the health-snack brand Too Yumm! into a commercially successful business. His track record reflects a consistent focus on combining data-driven storytelling with omni-platform engagement to deliver sustained growth.
Khanna’s appointment comes at a strategic phase for the CKA Birla Group as it continues to leverage synergies across its operations spanning technology, automotive, and healthcare. With more than 50 manufacturing facilities and a presence across international markets, the group is aiming to further strengthen its unified brand voice and customer engagement efforts.
