ASM Technologies Ltd has announced a strategic investment and partnership with Myelin Foundry to deploy patented, high-performance AI solutions across key industrial sectors. The Bengaluru-based engineering design-led manufacturing company has signed definitive agreements to invest approximately Rs 48 crore for an aggregate 20 percent stake in Myelin Foundry.
The collaboration is designed to address the rapidly evolving needs of industries such as semiconductor, electronics, solar, and engineering, where real-time operational intelligence and equipment reliability have become mission-critical. By integrating advanced AI directly into manufacturing systems, both companies aim to enable smarter and more resilient production environments.
At the core of the partnership is the integration of Myelin Foundry’s edge-first AI stack into ASM’s engineering design-led manufacturing portfolio. Myelin’s platform specialises in predictive intelligence and multimodal analytics, allowing AI models to process and interpret complex data streams directly at the machine level rather than relying solely on centralised data centres.
Unlike conventional AI deployments that are confined to cloud or data centre environments, this initiative focuses on Edge AI—bringing computation closer to industrial equipment. The rollout will prioritise several key areas.
In predictive maintenance, the aim is to shift from reactive repair cycles to data-driven forecasting that minimises unplanned downtime and enhances equipment lifespan. Through multimodal analytics, data from sensors, vision systems, and acoustics will be fused to provide a comprehensive, 360-degree assessment of machine health. The partnership will also introduce AI-augmented operations, enabling human operators to receive real-time, intelligent assistance to improve safety, precision, and productivity. Additionally, sustainability and efficiency goals will be supported through AI-led optimisation of energy consumption and resource allocation via autonomous system adjustments.
