Sumit Rajan Srivastava has been appointed as Director, Solutions Engineering – India at Palo Alto Networks. In this capacity, he will spearhead and expand the company’s Solutions Engineering function within the Identity Security domain across India.
His mandate includes building and mentoring high-performing technical teams, strengthening executive-level deal engagement, and driving excellence in technical sales. He will also work toward enhancing structured demo frameworks, refining proof-of-concept governance, and sharpening competitive positioning. A key part of his role involves representing customer perspectives internally to help shape product strategy and engineering roadmaps.
Prior to joining Palo Alto Networks, Srivastava was associated with CyberArk as Solutions Engineering (Pre-Sales) Director – India, where he led the Identity Security portfolio spanning Privileged Access Management (PAM), Endpoint Security, and Secrets Management solutions. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in strengthening the pre-sales organization and supporting enterprise customers in navigating complex security transformations.
Earlier in his career, he served as Associate Vice President & Head of Apps Support at Mphasis, overseeing global HR application development, enhancement, and production support, alongside driving security and compliance initiatives.
He also spent over 15 years with Wipro Technologies, where he held senior delivery and program management roles. As Delivery Head for a major account, he led a team of more than 250 professionals, managing multi-technology portfolios including ERP, Data Warehousing, BI, SharePoint, SaaS/COTS, and Java/.NET development and support, with responsibility for significant revenue streams.
With more than two decades of experience across cybersecurity, enterprise applications, and global delivery leadership, Srivastava’s appointment reflects Palo Alto Networks’ continued focus on strengthening its Identity Security capabilities and scaling its technical go-to-market strategy in India.
