
Sumati Sahgal has been elevated to Vice President – Secure Power & Data Centres, Greater India Zone at Schneider Electric. In this expanded leadership role, she will lead the company’s Secure Power and Data Centre business across the region, with end-to-end responsibility for business performance, strategic execution, and customer experience.
Her mandate includes driving growth across Schneider Electric’s data centre and secure power portfolio, advancing digital infrastructure capabilities, and delivering integrated, energy-efficient solutions in a rapidly evolving technology landscape. She will also focus on accelerating expansion in the cloud and service provider segment, strengthening enterprise channels, and reinforcing the company’s leadership in AI-ready infrastructure.
This elevation reflects Schneider Electric’s continued emphasis on strengthening its leadership pipeline and empowering internal talent to take on strategic growth roles. It also underscores India’s importance as a key hub for digital infrastructure, innovation, and sustainable energy transformation.

We aim to facilitate an end-to-end specialist model for our customers, leveraging our comprehensive Grid to Chip and Chip to Chiller portfolio, fully supported by advanced software and services solutions.”
In her new role, she will work towards driving profitable growth across the Secure Power and Data Centre portfolio, including critical infrastructure solutions, while strengthening go-to-market strategies, customer engagement, and partner ecosystem collaboration.
Prior to this elevation, Sumati served as Vice President – Home Solutions at Schneider Electric India, where she led the Homes & Distribution division for the Greater India Zone. During this period, she drove portfolio innovation, executed go-to-market transformation, and strengthened brand positioning in a highly competitive and rapidly evolving market.
Before joining Schneider Electric, she spent seven years at Lenovo India, where she held multiple leadership roles, including India Business Head for Tablets and Smart Devices, managing P&L responsibilities and driving market share growth. Earlier in her career, she had a decade-long tenure at Bharti Airtel, leading key business and sales functions, and began her professional journey at HSBC, building a strong foundation in customer management and enterprise growth.
With her extensive cross-industry experience and proven leadership track record, Sumati Sahgal is well positioned to drive the next phase of growth for Schneider Electric’s data centre and secure power business, supporting the increasing demand for resilient, scalable, and sustainable digital infrastructure.
