Hyderabad-based startup Workroom Automation has raised ₹6.2 crore in a seed funding round led by Equirus InnovateX Fund, with participation from Astir Ventures, Venture Catalysts Group, and several angel investors.
The company is focused on building a unified operating system for global manufacturing, aimed at addressing inefficiencies caused by fragmented workflows. Its platform connects various aspects of production into a centralized digital infrastructure, enabling improved efficiency, traceability, and collaboration across supply chains.
Founded by Abhinav Atthota and Rohan Agarwal, Workroom Automation is developing a connected factory platform that integrates data from ERP systems, manufacturing execution systems (MES), machines, and shop floor operations. The goal is to help manufacturers transition from manual, siloed processes to automated, data-driven operations.
The fresh capital will be used to accelerate product development, enhance its AI-powered planning engine, expand automation capabilities, and strengthen go-to-market and enterprise sales efforts. The company also plans to scale its engineering team and expand its international footprint.
Equirus InnovateX Fund, the early-stage investment arm of the Equirus Group, focuses on backing B2B technology startups across SaaS, deep tech, and fintech sectors, particularly at the Seed to Pre-Series A stage.
With manufacturing increasingly shifting toward digital and intelligent systems, Workroom Automation aims to position itself as a central “nervous system” for factories—enabling real-time production planning, monitoring, and quality control across operations.
