Skanda Jayaraman has been appointed as Managing Director and Co-Head of Investment Banking at Ambit Private Limited, effective April 2026. In this role, he will jointly lead the firm’s investment banking business alongside Rahul Mody, as the company looks to strengthen its advisory capabilities and expand its presence in capital markets.
His appointment is part of a broader leadership realignment aimed at scaling Ambit’s investment banking franchise, enhancing execution capabilities, and deepening client engagement across sectors in an increasingly competitive dealmaking environment.
Jayaraman brings over two decades of experience across investment banking, fintech, and credit risk. In his new role, he will focus on driving capital raising, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, and expanding participation in secondary markets, particularly for mid-market and high-growth privately owned companies.
Prior to joining Ambit, he founded Altflow Advisors, where he built a data-driven platform focused on the BFSI sector and advised clients on capital raising strategies. He also held leadership roles at InCred Capital and Incor Group, contributing to strategic growth and advisory initiatives.
Earlier in his career, he served as CEO of Qapita Marketplace in Singapore and spent over a decade at Spark Capital Advisors, where he played a key role in transforming the firm from a regional player into a pan-India investment banking platform.
He began his career in risk management and wholesale banking, working with organizations such as Standard Chartered Bank, PwC, and TVS Credit Services Ltd., building a strong foundation in financial systems and institutional practices.
Beyond his corporate roles, Jayaraman is also associated with Teach For India as a board member, reflecting his engagement in social impact initiatives.
With a diverse background spanning advisory, fintech, and risk management, Skanda Jayaraman brings a well-rounded perspective to Ambit. His appointment is expected to play a key role in strengthening the firm’s investment banking capabilities and driving growth across its advisory and capital markets business.
