
Zendesk has appointed Bikram Mazumdar as Vice President, Asia, with immediate effect. Based in Singapore, he will lead the company’s growth and go-to-market strategy across key regional markets, including India, Southeast Asia, North Asia, and Korea. He will report to Mitch Young, Senior Vice President, APAC.
In this role, Mazumdar will focus on expanding Zendesk’s enterprise footprint, strengthening customer engagement, and accelerating adoption of AI-powered service solutions across the region. His appointment aligns with the company’s broader strategy to deepen its presence in Asia, a market seen as critical to its global growth ambitions.
Mazumdar brings extensive experience in customer experience (CX), employee experience (EX), and AI-driven platforms. Over the course of his career, he has held leadership roles at Yellow.ai, Sprinklr, Oracle, and IBM, where he built and scaled high-performing teams and expanded enterprise businesses across APAC and EMEA regions.

The appointment comes at a time when AI adoption across Asia-Pacific is accelerating, with organizations increasingly moving from pilot programs to large-scale deployments. Zendesk is working with enterprises across industries to enable this transition by integrating AI, data, and human-centric service models.
According to the company’s CX Trends research, consumer expectations in the region are rising rapidly. Around 77% of APAC consumers report higher service standards compared to the previous year, while 75% expect more personalised experiences enabled by AI, and 96% seek transparency in how AI is used.
