WorkOnGrid has raised ₹22.5 crore in a funding round led by Transition Venture Capital, with participation from Indian Angel Network, taking its total funding to ₹28.5 crore to date.
The Bengaluru-based startup plans to utilise the fresh capital to expand its global go-to-market efforts, strengthen its artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities, and build international infrastructure to support broader deployments.
Founded by Udit Poddar, Shreyansh Jain, Aayush Agrawal, and Shaurya Poddar, WorkOnGrid is an AI-native operations intelligence platform designed for utilities across power, water, and gas sectors.
The platform integrates data from multiple sources—including smart meters, sensors, GIS systems, and financial tools—into a unified intelligence layer, enabling real-time insights, predictive analytics, and automated workflows. This helps utilities transition from reactive operations to more predictive and autonomous decision-making models.
At its core, WorkOnGrid combines a data lakehouse architecture with AI-driven analytics and workflow automation, allowing utility providers to improve efficiency, reliability, and operational visibility across critical infrastructure.
The company currently serves over 20 utilities globally, managing data from millions of smart meters and large-scale operational assets. Its scalable SaaS-based model positions it to address growing complexity in utility operations and the increasing demand for real-time, data-driven decision-making.
With this latest funding, WorkOnGrid aims to accelerate its global expansion and strengthen its role in enabling smarter, more resilient utility ecosystems.
