D-Robotics raises $150 million to expand embodied AI and global robotics ecosystem

Chinese robot AI startup D-Robotics has secured $150 million in a Series B2 funding round as it accelerates expansion of its embodied artificial intelligence platform. The latest investment highlights growing investor interest in robotics infrastructure and positions the company to scale its global operations and developer ecosystem.

The new funding brings the company’s total Series B financing to $270 million, following an earlier $120 million tranche raised in the same round. The investment saw participation from a mix of strategic and financial backers, including Prosperity7 Ventures, Yunfeng Capital, and other global investors, reflecting strong confidence in the company’s long-term growth potential.

D-Robotics focuses on building foundational infrastructure for embodied AI, providing computing platforms, development tools, and integrated hardware-software systems for robots. Its offerings include solutions such as robot computing platforms and AI model systems that enable machines to perceive, make decisions, and execute actions in real-world environments.

The company plans to use the fresh capital to accelerate global expansion, strengthen its developer ecosystem, and enhance its cloud-edge AI architecture. By focusing on a tightly integrated hardware and software approach, D-Robotics aims to create scalable solutions that can support a wide range of robotic applications across industries.

Originally spun off from Horizon Robotics in 2024, D-Robotics is leveraging its technological lineage to replicate a successful model used in autonomous driving—combining chips, algorithms, and development tools into a unified platform. This strategy allows the company to support multiple robot types through a single intelligence framework, often described as a “one brain, multiple forms” approach.

The startup has already demonstrated strong growth momentum, with shipments rising 180 percent and its customer base expanding 200 percent over the past year. It has launched more than 100 robot products and built a developer community of over 100,000 users across Asia-Pacific, Europe, and North America.

The funding comes amid a broader surge in investment in robotics and embodied AI, as companies increasingly focus on building intelligent machines capable of interacting with the physical world. With its latest raise, D-Robotics is positioning itself as a key player in providing the underlying infrastructure needed to power the next generation of AI-driven robotics systems.
