
Shobhit Singhal has been appointed as Chief Technology & Product Officer at The Indian Express, marking a key addition to the organisation’s digital leadership team.
In his new role, he will be responsible for leading the company’s technology and product strategy, with a focus on building scalable digital platforms and driving innovation across its media ecosystem. He will oversee the end-to-end consumer experience, including product, engineering, design, marketing, growth, and subscriptions.
Prior to this, Singhal was Co-Founder and Managing Director at Kaanan Kul. He also served as Director of Product Management at Moloco, where he worked on data-driven product initiatives.
He brings significant experience from his tenure at Disney+ Hotstar, where he led key functions across monetisation, engagement, and growth, contributing to platform scale and user expansion.
Earlier in his career, he was associated with Google as part of its Top Partner Advisory Board for Google Assistant, along with roles at Echo Plans, Mitr Learning & Media, and Hurix Systems, building a strong foundation in product innovation and digital transformation.
