Prateek Agrawal has taken on the role of Senior Vice President & Head – SME Risk at Credit Saison India, where he will lead the company’s SME risk function.
In this role, he will focus on strengthening credit risk frameworks, improving portfolio quality, and supporting sustainable growth across the organization’s SME lending business. His appointment reflects the company’s continued focus on building robust risk capabilities as it expands its presence in India.
Prior to joining Credit Saison India, he spent over eight years at IDFC FIRST Bank, where he held multiple leadership roles across risk management. Most recently, he served as Risk Head – Loan Against Property and Business & Professional Loans from April 2024 to March 2026 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
Earlier, he held the position of Risk Head – Vehicle Loans and Micro Business Loans & Inventory Funding from November 2022 to March 2024, and Risk Head – Vehicle Loans from November 2017 to November 2022, contributing to credit policy and portfolio risk management across segments.
Before his tenure at IDFC FIRST Bank, he worked at L&T Finance as Team Manager – Credit Policy from August 2015 to November 2017 in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
He also has prior experience at Axis Bank, further strengthening his background in credit underwriting and risk management.
With expertise spanning credit policy, underwriting, and portfolio risk across retail and SME segments, Prateek Agrawal brings a strong foundation to lead SME risk initiatives at Credit Saison India.
