Legal-tech startup Lawyered has secured approximately $2.5 million (around ₹23.2 crore) in a Pre-Series A funding round co-led by Rainmatter and Turbostart, with participation from existing investor Finvolve.
Based in Delhi NCR, the company plans to use the fresh capital to scale its platform, enhance product capabilities, and accelerate user acquisition as it looks to expand beyond its core mobility-focused legal services.
Founded in 2018 by Himanshu Gupta, Lawyered offers an AI-enabled SaaS platform that provides legal assistance, particularly in the mobility sector. Its solutions include services for handling traffic challans, roadside legal issues, compliance management, and dispute resolution for both individuals and businesses.
The startup’s flagship offering, LOTS247 (Lawyer On-The-Spot), enables users to access instant legal consultation for incidents such as accidents, disputes, and compliance challenges. It is supported by a network of around 80,000 lawyers. Additional products include ChallanPay, which helps users track and resolve traffic violations nationwide, and Highway Heroes+, a subscription-based service offering insurance, hospitalization cover, and legal support for truck drivers.
Lawyered claims that its platform has resolved over 200,000 legal cases, covered more than 2 million vehicles, and partnered with over 800 businesses across India. Building on this traction, the company now aims to extend its legal infrastructure model into sectors such as finance, real estate, and healthcare.
Commenting on the development, CEO Himanshu Gupta said, “Legal has always been reactive, fragmented, and expensive. We are reimagining it as infrastructure: always-on, embedded, and accessible,” highlighting the company’s vision to make legal services more proactive and scalable.
