NEW YORK & DALLAS — Adaptive Innovations, the first AI-native healthcare provider, today announced it has raised $50 million in Series A funding. The round was led by Felicis, with significant participation from Bain Capital Ventures, Optum Ventures, Sunflower Capital, Conviction, BoxGroup, Dorm Room Fund, and Constellation, alongside prominent angels across healthcare services and frontier AI labs. The investment will be used to scale Adaptive’s AI platform and expand its clinical workforce across new states. The company is also disclosing $10M in unannounced Seed funding bring their total fund to $60M to date.
Healthcare’s Problem: Massive Scarcity of Supply Driven by Antiquated Technology
The American healthcare system is approaching a demographic cliff: by 2034, there will be more seniors over the age of 65 than children under 18. This shift represents an effectively infinite demand for care, yet the infrastructure required to deliver it is structurally broken. In the “last mile” of healthcare, post-acute home health, the bottleneck isn’t a lack of clinical skill, but a crushing administrative tax. For every $1.00 spent on a clinician’s labor, traditional agencies spend an additional $0.60 to $0.90 on back-office coordination. While the era of abundant intelligence is starting to transform software development, marketing, sales, and other fields, homecare remains tethered to fax machines and manual charting.
“We started Adaptive because we saw a heartbreaking paradox: intelligence is becoming abundant, yet the most essential human care remains dangerously scarce,” said Ryan Tolsma, Co-founder of Adaptive Innovations. “You can’t fix a system this broken by just selling it more software; you have to become the provider and rebuild the model from the inside out. By placing AI at the core of our operations, we’re removing the ‘administrative tax’ to engineer a world where care is as accessible as it is necessary.”
Adaptive Innovations’ Solution: AI-Native Healthcare Starting with Home Care
Unlike traditional software vendors that sell tools to existing agencies, Adaptive operates as a full-stack provider. By owning the end-to-end clinical loop, including intake, scheduling, charting, and billing, Adaptive has developed the healthcare AI operating system that eliminates the administrative bottlenecks that force traditional agencies to turn patients away.
Since its quiet launch in 2025, Adaptive has achieved industry-leading outcomes:
- Universal Acceptance: Profitable care delivery for the 40% of patients typically rejected by legacy providers.
- Clinical Efficiency: AI-native workflows have reduced documentation time for clinicians by 80%.
- Superior Outcomes: Less than 5% rehospitalization rate, compared to the industry average of 11%.
- Proven Scale: Delivered over 100,000 visits to date and partnered with over 500 healthcare organizations, including every major hospital system in Texas.
