Maruti Suzuki India Limited has partnered with five startups from the fifth cohort of its Maruti Suzuki Incubation Program (MSIP) to co-develop technology-driven solutions across battery recycling, procurement automation, multilingual AI, and software engineering.
The selected startups — MiniMines, Easework AI, Sarvam AI, Siftly, and CodeMate AI — were chosen through the incubation programme conducted in partnership with NSRCEL.
The collaborations are aimed at addressing operational and business challenges through AI-enabled automation, sustainability technologies, and enterprise software innovation.
According to the company, the startups will work closely with Maruti Suzuki teams to develop practical technology solutions spanning lithium-ion battery recycling, procurement process automation, multilingual AI-based customer engagement, and AI-assisted software development capabilities.
Managing Director and CEO Hisashi Takeuchi said the company has been actively collaborating with startups to co-create innovative and practical solutions for real-world business challenges.
The initiative reflects growing adoption of startup-led innovation models among large enterprises as automotive and manufacturing companies increasingly integrate AI, automation, sustainability, analytics, and digital transformation technologies into core business operations.
The inclusion of Sarvam AI also highlights rising enterprise interest in multilingual generative AI systems capable of supporting customer interaction and digital engagement across India’s diverse language ecosystem.
Maruti Suzuki said the incubation programme is part of its broader innovation strategy focused on building partnerships with emerging technology companies and accelerating future-ready business capabilities.
Since launching the incubation initiative in 2019, the company has screened approximately 7,400 startups, engaged with more than 250 ventures, and onboarded 38 startups as business partners across multiple innovation and operational areas.
The latest partnerships come as enterprises across the automotive sector continue increasing investments in AI, intelligent automation, sustainable technologies, battery lifecycle management, digital procurement systems, and software-defined operational ecosystems.
