Palantir and NVIDIA Partner to Develop Sovereign AI Platform for Government and Critical Infrastructure

Palantir Technologies has announced a new initiative with NVIDIA to develop an AI engine designed to deploy NVIDIA’s Nemotron open models within sovereign and highly secure environments, targeting government agencies and critical infrastructure operators.

The collaboration brings together NVIDIA’s AI computing infrastructure and Nemotron open models with Palantir’s Artificial Intelligence Platform (AIP), Foundry, Ontology, and Apollo software platforms. The integrated offering is aimed at enabling organizations to train, customize, and deploy large language models while maintaining full control over sensitive data, intellectual property, and operational environments.

The initiative focuses on supporting secure AI deployment across defense, public sector, energy, manufacturing, healthcare, and other mission-critical industries where data sovereignty, operational security, and infrastructure resilience remain key priorities.

According to the companies, the platform is designed to help organizations deploy enterprise-grade AI systems in environments requiring high levels of governance, compliance, and operational control, while reducing reliance on externally hosted AI ecosystems.

Alex Karp, Co-founder and CEO of Palantir Technologies, said the partnership would help government organizations securely operationalize large language models without compromising sensitive systems or data environments.

“Combining Palantir infrastructure with NVIDIA’s AI and Nemotron models will allow the U.S. government to unleash the full power of LLMs while removing the underlying security risks,” Karp stated.

NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang described the platform as a secure and customizable foundation for building large-scale AI systems in highly regulated and mission-critical environments.

The announcement reflects growing global demand for sovereign AI infrastructure as governments and enterprises increasingly seek greater control over AI models, data processing, cybersecurity, and digital infrastructure amid rising geopolitical and data governance concerns.

The partnership also highlights the expanding role of open AI models and enterprise AI platforms in enabling organizations to build customized AI systems tailored to industry-specific and national security requirements.

Palantir Technologies is a US-based software and analytics company specializing in artificial intelligence, data integration, defense technology, and enterprise intelligence platforms. NVIDIA is a global leader in accelerated computing, AI infrastructure, graphics processing technologies, and large-scale AI systems powering data centers, enterprises, and generative AI applications worldwide.
