
Lucid Motors has appointed Raja Ramana Macha as Chief Technology Officer (CTO), strengthening the electric vehicle manufacturer’s technology leadership as it accelerates innovation across software-defined vehicles, artificial intelligence, and next-generation mobility technologies.
In his new role, Macha will lead Lucid Motors’ global technology strategy, engineering innovation, and product development, overseeing advancements in software platforms, AI-enabled vehicle technologies, electrification, digital engineering, and future mobility solutions. His appointment comes as the company continues expanding its portfolio of premium electric vehicles while investing in intelligent automotive technologies and sustainable transportation.
Macha brings more than three decades of global leadership experience spanning automotive engineering, industrial automation, electrification, digital transformation, power management, and enterprise technology. Throughout his career, he has led large-scale engineering organizations and driven innovation across software, automation, industrial systems, and connected technologies.
Prior to joining Lucid Motors, he served as Executive Vice President & Chief Technology Officer at Eaton, where he led the company’s global technology strategy, innovation roadmap, engineering excellence, and digital transformation initiatives across its power management businesses.
Earlier, he held senior leadership positions at Schneider Electric, AVEVA, and GeometricPLM, building extensive expertise in industrial software, engineering technologies, automation, digital platforms, product development, and enterprise innovation. He also serves as a Board Member at Sasken Technologies Limited, contributing to technology governance and strategic direction.
