
India — NextPower has appointed Sanjeev Pushkarna as Vice President – Supply Chain Management, APAC, strengthening the company’s leadership as it scales its supply chain and procurement operations to support the growing demand for solar energy infrastructure across the Asia-Pacific region. In this strategic leadership role, Pushkarna will be responsible for driving regional supply chain strategy, procurement excellence, sourcing operations, supplier partnerships, logistics, and operational resilience, supporting NextPower’s continued expansion and execution of renewable energy projects across key APAC markets.In his new role, Pushkarna will lead supply chain management across APAC, overseeing strategic procurement, global sourcing, supplier partnerships, logistics, cost optimization, risk management, and supply chain transformation. He will be responsible for strengthening NextPower’s regional supply chain ecosystem while supporting the company’s expansion across the rapidly growing solar and clean energy markets.
Pushkarna brings more than three decades of leadership experience spanning procurement, supply chain management, strategic sourcing, operations, and renewable energy. Throughout his career, he has led large-scale procurement transformation programmes, built resilient supplier networks, and driven operational excellence across the energy, engineering, and industrial sectors.
Prior to joining NextPower, he served as Chief Procurement Officer at Waaree Group, where he led procurement and supply chain strategy for the company’s solar business. His responsibilities included developing sourcing strategies, strengthening supplier partnerships, optimizing procurement operations, driving cost efficiencies, advancing sustainability initiatives, and managing enterprise-wide supply chain functions aligned with business growth.
Earlier, he spent more than six years as Chief Procurement Officer at Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy, where he played a key role in establishing global procurement policies, leading international sourcing strategies, and supporting the company’s worldwide expansion. Before that, he served as Head – Corporate Purchase at Sterling and Wilson, overseeing procurement across multiple businesses, including electrical, solar EPC, cogeneration, low-voltage panels, and diesel generator operations.
His earlier leadership experience includes roles at ABB as Assistant Vice President – Supply Chain Management, Suzlon Group as Senior Manager – Purchase, Reliance Energy as Additional Manager, and Crompton Greaves, where he built expertise across procurement, production, quality, marketing, and strategic account management.
The appointment reflects NextPower’s continued investment in strengthening supply chain leadership as renewable energy companies increasingly focus on building resilient procurement networks, securing critical components, and improving operational efficiency to meet rising global demand for clean energy infrastructure.
