QpiAI Open-Sources Quantum SDK, Expands Access to Quantum Computing Platform

India — Bengaluru-based quantum computing startup QpiAI has open-sourced its Quantum Software Development Kit (SDK), enabling developers, researchers, startups, and academic institutions worldwide to build, test, and execute quantum algorithms while accessing the company’s quantum computing infrastructure through QpiAI-QCloud.

The Python-based SDK provides tools for quantum circuit creation, simulation, algorithm development, workflow execution, and integration with QpiAI’s 8-qubit and 25-qubit quantum computers. Available through GitHub, the platform is designed to lower the barrier to quantum software development and accelerate research and application development across the global quantum ecosystem.

Through QpiAI-QCloud, users can develop and validate quantum applications on simulators before running workloads on real quantum hardware. The SDK supports a broad range of use cases, including quantum computing research, application prototyping, algorithm development, and educational programmes.

Commenting on the launch, Nagendra Nagaraja, Founder and CEO of QpiAI, said, “India is entering a defining decade for quantum technologies, and open-source software will be critical to building the talent, research, and innovation base that national leadership requires.” He added that the company aims to make quantum computing more accessible for students, researchers, developers, and startups by supporting coursework, research projects, hackathons, and developer training programmes.

Lakshya Priyadarshi, Vice President – Quantum Platforms and Solutions at QpiAI, described the SDK as “a practical bridge between quantum theory, simulation, real hardware, and industry applications,” adding that the company’s objective is to help build a diverse global ecosystem for quantum application development.

The launch comes as governments, research institutions, and technology companies increase investments in quantum computing to advance applications across finance, logistics, artificial intelligence, materials science, healthcare, cybersecurity, and scientific computing. Open-source development platforms are increasingly viewed as essential for expanding the quantum developer community and accelerating innovation.

QpiAI is a Bengaluru-based quantum computing and artificial intelligence company developing quantum hardware, quantum software, AI platforms, and high-performance computing solutions. The company focuses on building integrated quantum computing infrastructure and software platforms to support enterprise, research, and scientific applications across industries.
