Ahmedabad: Troikaa Pharmaceuticals Limited has elevated Hiren Patel to the position of Chief Information Officer. Patel announced the promotion through a LinkedIn post, describing the appointment as both an honour and a responsibility.
Patel was previously identified as a Senior Vice President at the Ahmedabad-headquartered pharmaceutical company. His elevation to CIO marks an expansion of his leadership responsibilities as Troikaa strengthens the role of technology across its operations.
In his new position, Patel will focus on driving innovation, strengthening the company’s digital capabilities and using technology to generate greater value for customers, employees and other stakeholders. His areas of experience include digital transformation, enterprise applications, cybersecurity, infrastructure modernisation and business-process innovation.
Announcing the promotion, Patel said, “This milestone is both an honour and a responsibility. I am deeply grateful to the leadership team, my colleagues, mentors, and the entire Troikaa family for their trust, support, and encouragement throughout my journey.”
He added that his experience working with teams across multiple technology initiatives had reinforced his view that technology should function as a strategic business enabler instead of being treated solely as a support function.
As CIO, Patel is expected to provide strategic direction to Troikaa’s information-technology function and oversee initiatives spanning enterprise systems, digital infrastructure, cybersecurity and technology-led process improvement. His elevation also indicates the company’s continued emphasis on aligning its technology capabilities with broader organisational priorities.
The appointment is particularly relevant for the pharmaceutical industry, where secure digital infrastructure, enterprise applications, data governance and operational resilience are becoming increasingly important. Patel’s existing familiarity with Troikaa’s operations should support continuity as he assumes the expanded mandate.
