
Everest Industries Limited has appointed Dr. Ujjal Bhattacharjee as Chief Human Resources Officer, effective July 16, 2026. The appointment strengthens the company’s executive leadership as it focuses on growth, organisational transformation and operational excellence. In his new role, Bhattacharjee will lead the company’s people strategy, talent transformation, leadership development, organisational effectiveness, culture and workforce-capability agenda across its nationwide operations.
Bhattacharjee will work with Everest Industries’ leadership to align human-resource priorities with its long-term business strategy. His responsibilities will include developing leadership capabilities, strengthening succession planning, improving employee experience and building a future-ready workforce. He will also support organisational change as the building-materials and pre-engineered steel-buildings company advances its innovation, sustainability and business-expansion priorities.
Before joining Everest Industries, Bhattacharjee spent nearly seven years with Vesuvius, most recently serving as Human Resources Director – Foundry India and Southeast Asia. Alongside his regional HR responsibilities, he held several board-level positions, including Director at Vesuvius IT & Shared Services, Director at Foseco International (Thailand), and President Commissioner at PT Foseco Indonesia. These assignments provided him with experience in regional governance, shared services and workforce leadership across India and Southeast Asia.
Bhattacharjee previously worked with GKN for approximately nine years, progressing through leadership positions such as Human Resources Director – India, Human Resources Director – India and South Africa, and a combined role covering human resources, operations and managing-director responsibilities. Before joining GKN, he served as Vice President – Human Resources India at Fresenius Kabi, supporting the pharmaceutical company’s people and organisational priorities.
Across more than two decades, Bhattacharjee has developed experience spanning strategic human resources, organisational transformation, talent management, leadership development, industrial relations, workforce planning, succession planning, shared services, organisational design and change management. His background combines HR leadership with operational and board-level responsibilities across manufacturing and industrial businesses.
Established in 1934, Everest Industries manufactures building materials and pre-engineered steel buildings for customers across India and international markets. The company operates eight manufacturing facilities, 30 sales depots and a network of approximately 13,000 dealer outlets. It serves customers across 600 cities, 100,000 villages and 35 countries, with products designed for residential, commercial, industrial and infrastructure applications.
