Multiverse Computing Targets $570 Million Series C at $1.7 Billion Valuation

Multiverse Computing has announced a Series C fundraising round targeting up to $570 million at a pre-money valuation of $1.7 billion, as the Spanish artificial intelligence company seeks to expand technology designed to reduce the computing and energy requirements of AI models.

The round is being co-led by Forgepoint Capital International, BNPP Solar Impulse Venture Fund and Bullhound Capital. Other investors that have made commitments include Santander Alternative Investments, Tikehau Capital, HP, Orange Ventures, Scania Invest, NAventures, Qatar Development Bank, Zouk Capital, SETT, the EIC Fund, the Basque Government’s Hazten Scale-Up Fund and Kutxa Fundazioa.

The fundraising, which may remain open to additional strategic investors, is expected to take Multiverse Computing’s total capital raised to approximately $800 million, including its previous rounds.

At the centre of the company’s offering is CompactifAI, an AI-model compression platform that applies tensor networks—a mathematical framework derived from quantum physics—to reduce the size of large language models by between 80% and 95% with minimal loss of accuracy.

The compressed models require fewer computing resources, consume less energy and can run faster across cloud, on-premises and edge environments. This allows AI models to operate locally on smartphones, industrial equipment and other devices, including in environments where cloud connectivity is unavailable, expensive or restricted by data-sovereignty requirements.

“The AI industry has accepted a false constraint for years — that powerful models require expensive infrastructure,” said Enrique Lizaso, co-founder and CEO of Multiverse Computing. “That constraint is gone. We have proven that AI can run at full performance on a smartphone, inside a sovereign data center, on a factory floor with no cloud connection.”

Multiverse will use the funding to expand its library of compressed AI models, advance research into proprietary algorithms and invest in sovereign AI infrastructure. It also plans to strengthen its presence across East Asia, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Canada and the United States.

Since completing its Series B round in June 2025, the company said its annualised revenue has increased more than tenfold, while first-quarter 2026 sales grew 96 times year-on-year. Its models are deployed across millions of devices and systems, including drones, cameras, satellites, vehicles and telecommunications infrastructure.

Multiverse Computing is headquartered in San Sebastián, Spain, and develops sovereign and energy-efficient AI technology. It serves more than 100 customers across manufacturing, financial services, energy, aerospace, cybersecurity, defence, healthcare and life sciences.
