New Delhi, Temple, the wearable-technology startup founded by Deepinder Goyal, has introduced an employee stock ownership plan liquidity programme that values the company at $375 million.
Under the programme, approximately 20 of Temple’s 200–220 employees will be eligible to sell up to 25% of their vested ESOPs. Participation in the liquidity exercise is optional and is intended to provide early employees with an opportunity to realise part of the value created since the company’s formation.
The $375 million valuation is nearly double the approximately $190 million post-money valuation at which Temple raised its $54 million seed round in February 2026. The liquidity event is also being conducted above the company’s previous funding valuation, an uncommon development for an early-stage startup.
“We are offering all eligible employees the option to sell up to 25 percent of their vested ESOPs at a $375 million valuation — this is completely optional,” Goyal said in an internal communication to employees.
Temple is developing a precision wearable designed to be worn on the temple area of the head. The company describes the product as a wellness device intended to capture physiological signals and provide users with deeper insights into their bodies.
The startup is exploring measurements beyond the conventional heart-rate and activity indicators offered by most consumer wearables. Its proposed capabilities are expected to include insights related to metabolic activity, stress, recovery, sleep, meditation and physical performance.
The device remains under development and has not been commercially launched. Goyal has indicated that it could reach the market within six to 12 months, although the timeline has not been finalised. The product is expected to target high-performance users and may initially be priced at around $1,000.
Temple has also indicated that peer-reviewed research will accompany the product’s launch to support its wellness-related claims. The scientific validity and performance of its proposed biomarkers have not yet been independently established through publicly available studies.
The company is reportedly receiving interest from prospective investors ahead of another funding round. However, no new investment transaction or external valuation has been officially completed.
Temple is an Indian wearable-technology startup focused on developing sensing systems that provide detailed physiological insights. The company combines hardware engineering, embedded systems, data analysis and health-related research to build its wearable platform.
