Hyderabad, Darwinbox has appointed Akshay Murthy as Vice President and Country Head – India. In his new role, he will lead the company’s enterprise growth strategy and business operations across the country.
Murthy brings more than 24 years of experience across enterprise software-as-a-service, technology sales, cloud solutions and business leadership. At Darwinbox, he will focus on expanding customer adoption, strengthening relationships with large enterprises and supporting organisations as they modernise their human resources operations through artificial intelligence-led technologies.
He joins Darwinbox from Salesforce, where he most recently served as Regional Vice President of Sales. During his tenure with the company, he held several leadership positions, including Commercial Leader – South Asia, Regional Sales Director and Director – Sales, Large Enterprise. He worked with customers across sectors to improve cross-channel marketing, customer engagement and sales productivity using data and artificial intelligence.
Murthy has also held professional and leadership roles at Oracle, IBM, Subex, Tejas Networks, Eastern Telecoms, Olam International and Tata Consultancy Services. His experience spans enterprise software, cloud technologies, telecommunications, consulting, international business and digital transformation. He holds an MBA from the Asian Institute of Management.
