Coimbatore, Consolidated Private Limited, which operates Apple-focused retail and service brand iPlanet, has appointed Rohith Kumar as Chief Human Resources Officer. He brings more than 18 years of human resources experience across the fashion, food and grocery, quick-service restaurant and consumer-electronics sectors.
In his new role, Kumar will lead the company’s people strategy as it expands its retail, service, enterprise and education businesses. His responsibilities will include talent management, organisational development, leadership capability, employee experience and workplace culture.
Announcing his appointment, Kumar said, “I’m delighted to share that I have joined as Chief Human Resources Officer at Consolidated, one of India’s leading partner for Apple, through our iPlanet Stores and Service Centres, along with our Enterprise and Education Business Verticals.”
Kumar said Consolidated has embarked on a plan to grow fivefold over the next few years while strengthening its presence within Apple’s business ecosystem in India. He added that developing the company’s workforce and improving the employee experience would remain central to this expansion.

Prior to joining Consolidated, Kumar served as Chief Human Resources Officer at Arvind Fashions Limited, where he led the company’s human resources and organisational agenda.
He previously served as Chief People Officer at Hardcastle Restaurants Private Limited, the master franchisee responsible for operating McDonald’s restaurants in western and southern India. In that role, he was responsible for the people strategy supporting the company’s restaurant operations and workforce.
Kumar also headed human resources at SPAR India, operated by Max Hypermarket India Private Limited under the Landmark Group. He spent approximately a decade at Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited, including as Head of Retail HR, building experience in talent development, employee engagement, leadership development and large-scale retail workforce management.
Established in Coimbatore in 1971, Consolidated operates across retail, service, enterprise and wellness businesses. Through iPlanet, the company runs Apple-authorised retail stores and service centres and provides technology solutions to enterprises and educational institutions across India.
