
Chennai, ANDRITZ Technologies India has appointed Kirtiraj Jilkar as its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, strengthening the engineering company’s leadership in the country.
Jilkar confirmed his appointment through a professional update. Alongside his responsibilities as Managing Director and CEO, he will lead the company’s International Business Group and Industrial Product Group.
He brings more than three decades of experience across engineering, engineering-procurement-construction operations, business development, project execution and operations and maintenance services.
Before joining ANDRITZ Technologies India, Jilkar spent a substantial part of his career at energy and environment solutions company Thermax Limited. His most recent responsibilities included serving as Executive Vice President and Business Unit Head for Projects and Energy Solutions.
At Thermax, he led its Projects and Energy Solutions business, which undertakes EPC and operations and maintenance projects for industrial captive power and cogeneration facilities. The division also works on industrial decarbonisation technologies and energy solutions.
During his tenure with Thermax, Jilkar held several leadership positions, including Business Head, Head of EPC Operations, Executive Vice President and General Manager. His responsibilities covered business growth, project execution, plant operations, customer relationships and the delivery of large industrial-energy projects.
