Rajat Pandit has been appointed as Head of Applied AI – India at Anthropic, where he will lead the application of artificial intelligence for enterprises and institutions across the country.
Pandit brings more than two decades of experience spanning engineering, cloud computing, AI infrastructure and technology-led transformation. He joins Anthropic after an extensive leadership career at Google, where he most recently served as Head of AI Infrastructure – APAC.
Before Google, Pandit held the position of Global Head of Software Development at Tesco PLC. He also worked with Accenture UK as a Management Consultant & Technical Delivery Lead.
His career has covered AI infrastructure, cloud transformation, technical sales, platform engineering and enterprise technology strategy. In his new role, Pandit is expected to contribute to Anthropic’s Applied AI efforts in India and support the adoption of AI across enterprises and institutions.
The appointment comes as organisations increasingly move from AI experimentation toward broader enterprise deployment, with India emerging as an important market for the development and adoption of AI-driven technologies.
