Spark Minda is set to invest ₹1,166 crore in two new manufacturing units at the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) region, expanding its production capabilities and strengthening its presence in the Noida–Greater Noida automotive manufacturing cluster.
The proposed investment is expected to create around 6,440 jobs, providing a significant employment opportunity while supporting industrial activity in the region. The new facilities will add to Spark Minda’s manufacturing footprint and contribute to the development of the automotive supply chain in Uttar Pradesh.
The proposed units will focus on manufacturing ignition switch-cum-steering locks, mechatronic components and related connection systems. These products form part of the wider automotive component ecosystem and will expand Spark Minda’s capabilities in the production of technology-enabled vehicle components.
The investment also highlights the growing importance of the YEIDA region as an automotive and industrial destination. Located near the Noida–Greater Noida cluster, the area has been attracting manufacturing investments and developing infrastructure aimed at supporting industrial and business activity.
For Spark Minda, the proposed facilities represent an expansion of manufacturing capacity in an important automotive cluster. The investment will allow the company to strengthen its production capabilities while creating additional employment opportunities through the development and operation of the new units.
The expected creation of approximately 6,440 jobs adds an important employment dimension to the project. Along with direct industrial activity, the expansion could support broader economic activity around the manufacturing ecosystem, including suppliers and related services.
The investment comes as Uttar Pradesh continues to develop its industrial and manufacturing base. The Noida–Greater Noida region has emerged as an important location for automotive and technology-related businesses, supported by its connectivity, industrial infrastructure and proximity to major markets.
Spark Minda’s proposed ₹1,166-crore investment therefore represents both a company-level capacity expansion and an addition to the region’s growing manufacturing ecosystem. The two facilities are expected to strengthen automotive component production while contributing to employment generation and industrial development in the YEIDA region.
