Lendingkart Appoints Avinash Prabhu as Group Chief Financial Officer

Lendingkart has appointed Avinash Prabhu as Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO), bringing more than 25 years of experience across banking, financial services, and consulting to the company’s leadership team.

In his new role, Prabhu will contribute to Lendingkart’s financial strategy and governance, drawing on his extensive experience across financial reporting, business and infrastructure finance, asset-liability management (ALM), taxation, financial planning and strategy, finance transformation, governance, and CSR.

Prabhu joins Lendingkart after serving as Group CFO at Union Bank of India, where he was responsible for senior-level finance leadership. His experience in banking and financial management adds significant depth to Lendingkart’s finance function as the company continues to pursue its business objectives.

Before Union Bank of India, Prabhu spent a substantial part of his career with Deutsche Bank, where he held senior finance leadership positions including CFO India and Deputy CFO India. During his tenure, he gained extensive exposure to financial management, reporting, governance, and strategic finance responsibilities.

Earlier in his career, Prabhu served as CFO India at Crédit Agricole CIB, further strengthening his experience within the financial services sector. He began his professional journey with Arthur Andersen & Co., building an early foundation in finance and consulting.

With more than two decades of experience spanning financial institutions and consulting, Prabhu brings a broad understanding of finance operations, strategic planning, governance, and transformation to his new mandate at Lendingkart.

His appointment comes as Lendingkart continues to operate in the financial services space, where effective financial planning, governance, risk management, and capital discipline remain central to sustainable business growth. Prabhu’s background across leading banking and financial institutions is expected to support the company’s financial and strategic priorities.

At Lendingkart, his responsibilities will extend beyond traditional financial reporting, with his experience in finance transformation, ALM, infrastructure finance, taxation, business finance, and governance providing a wider perspective to the Group CFO role.

The appointment also marks another step in Prabhu’s career after holding senior finance positions at some of the financial sector’s established institutions. His transition from Union Bank of India to Lendingkart brings experience across both large-scale banking operations and financial-services businesses.

With his extensive background in corporate finance and financial leadership, Prabhu is positioned to contribute to Lendingkart’s continued growth while strengthening its financial strategy and governance framework.
