TVS Motor Company has appointed Peyman Kargar as Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective January 27, 2027, marking a planned leadership transition at the two-wheeler and mobility company.
Kargar will succeed K. N. Radhakrishnan, who will continue as Director and CEO until January 27, 2027, to ensure a smooth and seamless transition. Following the leadership change, Radhakrishnan will serve as a Non-Executive Director until the date of the ensuing Annual General Meeting (AGM), scheduled for July 2027.
Kargar currently serves as President, International Business at TVS Motor Company and has already played a role in the company’s international business and growth initiatives. With his appointment as Director and CEO, he will take on broader responsibility for leading the company and its future growth strategy.
Commenting on the appointment, Sudarshan Venu, Chairman, TVS Motor Company, said the leadership change represents an important step as the company prepares for its next phase. He highlighted Kargar’s global leadership experience, industry expertise, strategic perspective and understanding of customers and markets. Venu also noted that Kargar has already made a meaningful contribution to TVS Motor Company in his current role leading international business.
Kargar said he was honoured to be appointed Chief Executive Officer and described the transition as an opportunity to build on the company’s existing momentum. He said TVS Motor Company is entering a new phase of growth, with a focus on expanding its presence and strengthening its position in both Indian and international markets.
The appointment comes as TVS Motor Company continues to expand its presence beyond India and strengthen its position in global mobility markets. Kargar’s existing experience as President, International Business gives him familiarity with the company’s international operations and growth priorities as he prepares to take on the CEO role.
Radhakrishnan, who has served as Director and CEO, will remain in his current position through January 27, 2027, supporting the transition before moving into his Non-Executive Director role. He said it had been a privilege to lead TVS Motor Company and work with its teams, expressing confidence in Kargar’s ability to lead the company.
Radhakrishnan also said he looks forward to supporting the transition over the coming months and wished Kargar success in his new role.
The planned succession provides continuity in TVS Motor Company’s leadership while allowing Kargar to take over the company’s executive responsibilities at the beginning of 2027. His appointment also brings the experience he has gained in international business directly into the company’s overall leadership.
Under Kargar’s leadership, TVS Motor Company is expected to continue focusing on growth across India and global markets while building on the momentum created under Radhakrishnan’s tenure. The company’s international expansion will remain an important area as it seeks to strengthen its position across the global mobility industry.
The transition will therefore involve a clear change in executive leadership while maintaining continuity through Radhakrishnan’s continued involvement as Director until the effective date and subsequently as a Non-Executive Director until the July 2027 AGM.
