Capgemini has appointed Sayan Guha as Director – Global AI & Data Science Practice, bringing more than two decades of experience across artificial intelligence, data science, analytics, cloud and enterprise transformation to the company’s leadership team.

In his new role, Guha will contribute to Capgemini’s global AI and data science practice, drawing on his experience across AI and analytics, data architecture, cloud data solutions, generative AI, deep learning and enterprise technology. His appointment adds extensive technology and data expertise to the organisation’s global AI leadership.

Guha brings a career spanning more than 20 years across leading technology and IT services companies. Earlier in his career, he held roles at Tech Mahindra, formerly Mahindra Satyam, as well as IBM, Wipro and Cognizant. Across these organisations, he progressed through responsibilities covering data, analytics, artificial intelligence, cloud and enterprise technology.

His professional experience includes work across data architecture and AI and analytics, along with cloud-based data solutions and emerging technologies such as generative AI and deep learning. This progression has given him exposure to both the technical and enterprise dimensions of data and AI transformation.

Before taking on his new position at Capgemini, Guha built experience across different areas of enterprise technology, developing expertise in designing and implementing data-driven solutions and supporting organisations in their technology transformation journeys.

At Capgemini, his mandate as Director – Global AI & Data Science Practice places him within the company’s global AI and data science leadership. The role will leverage his experience in emerging AI technologies and data-led enterprise transformation as organisations increasingly integrate AI into their business and technology strategies.

Guha’s career across Tech Mahindra, IBM, Wipro and Cognizant also reflects a progression through several generations of enterprise technology, from traditional data architecture and analytics to cloud data platforms, AI, deep learning and generative AI.

His appointment comes as enterprises continue to increase their focus on artificial intelligence and data science as part of broader digital and business transformation initiatives. With organisations adopting AI across operations, customer experiences and decision-making, expertise across data and AI infrastructure has become increasingly important.

For Capgemini, Guha’s experience across AI, analytics, cloud and enterprise technology adds to its capabilities in delivering data- and AI-led transformation at scale. His new role will focus on the global AI and data science practice, bringing his cross-functional technology experience into the company’s broader AI agenda.
