Karnataka Signs MoU with INQ Innovation Global to Strengthen Collaboration with New South Wales

The Karnataka government has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Australia-based INQ Innovation Global to strengthen collaboration across technology, innovation, startups, research and investment. The partnership will focus on connecting the innovation ecosystems of Karnataka and New South Wales and creating opportunities for greater cooperation between the two regions.

A key objective of the agreement is to create pathways for Karnataka-based startups and technology companies to connect with global markets. The collaboration will also provide opportunities for these companies to engage with investors, experts and industry networks as they explore international opportunities.

The partnership will have a particular focus on the deeptech and biotechnology sectors. By strengthening connections between Karnataka and New South Wales, the agreement is intended to support greater interaction between startups and the wider innovation ecosystems in both regions.

The MoU also places emphasis on strengthening partnerships between universities and research institutions. These connections are expected to support cooperation across the research and innovation ecosystems of Karnataka and New South Wales, alongside the commercial opportunities being created for startups and technology companies.

Investor and venture capital access forms another important part of the collaboration. The agreement aims to improve connections between startups and investors and enhance access to venture capital, creating opportunities for mutual growth across the two innovation ecosystems.

Through the partnership, INQ Innovation Global will work with the Karnataka government to strengthen links between the state’s technology and startup ecosystem and the innovation ecosystem of New South Wales. The areas covered by the MoU include technology, innovation, startups, research and investment.

The collaboration is expected to bring together different participants from the two ecosystems, including startups, technology companies, investors, experts, industry participants, universities and research institutions. The focus is on creating connections that can help Karnataka’s startups and technology companies access international markets and develop relationships with stakeholders outside India.

For startups operating in deeptech and biotechnology, the partnership is intended to provide greater access to international investors and markets. At the same time, the emphasis on universities and research institutions is designed to strengthen institutional links between Karnataka and New South Wales.

The agreement also seeks to strengthen the availability of investor and venture capital connections. By improving access to these networks, the partnership aims to support opportunities for startups and other participants in the innovation ecosystems of both regions.

The Karnataka government’s agreement with INQ Innovation Global therefore brings together technology, innovation, startup development, research and investment as areas of cooperation. The partnership is centred on building stronger links between Karnataka and New South Wales, with international market access, investor connections, research partnerships and venture capital accessibility forming key elements of the collaboration.

The development marks an effort to strengthen cross-border collaboration between Karnataka and New South Wales by connecting their respective innovation ecosystems. The MoU provides a framework for startups, technology companies, investors, experts, industry participants, universities and research institutions to explore opportunities for cooperation across the two regions.
