Dr. Venkatesan joins the leadership team at Apollo Hospitals with a career spanning several healthcare organisations and roles across procurement and supply-chain functions. Prior to taking on his new role at Apollo Hospitals Enterprises Limited, Dr. Venkatesan served as Director & Chief Procurement Officer – Supply Chain Management at Max Healthcare. In this position, he was responsible for senior-level leadership across procurement and supply-chain management, building on his experience in healthcare materials and commercial operations.
Before Max Healthcare, Dr. Venkatesan had a significant leadership journey at HealthCare Global, where he progressed through several positions, including General Manager, Senior General Manager and Vice President – Supply Chain Management. During his tenure, he also held responsibility as Group Head for Purchase, Stores & Supply Chain Management, expanding his experience across procurement, stores and supply-chain operations.
His professional journey also includes experience with BLK Super Speciality Hospital, Paras Healthcare Private Limited and Fortis Healthcare Limited. These roles further contributed to his exposure to healthcare procurement, materials management and commercial functions across the hospital and healthcare ecosystem.
Dr. Venkatesan has also previously been associated with Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Limited, along with MEDSOURCE HEALTHCARE PRIVATE LIMITED, SPH Fire Systems Pvt Ltd and Apollo Hospitals.
