
Venkatesh Anumandala has been appointed Senior Vice President (SVP) and Global Chief Information Officer (CIO) at hubergroup, marking his move into a global technology leadership role with the international printing inks and chemicals company.
Anumandala announced his new position through a LinkedIn post, where he thanked the CIO Association of India and Amarinder Singh for their warm wishes and support. Sharing the development, he said he was “Delighted to embark on this new journey as SVP & Global CIO at Hubergroup.” He added that he was looking forward to new challenges, meaningful collaborations and creating impact through technology and digital transformation.
He also expressed his gratitude to the CIO community for its support and encouragement as he begins the new assignment.
Anumandala brings experience in technology leadership, IT strategy, IT excellence and innovation, IT project management, SAP, automation and business-aligned technology solutions to his new role. His professional background spans enterprise applications, SAP and technology transformation across multiple organisations.
Before joining hubergroup, Anumandala was associated with Lupin, where he held a leadership position in Corporate IT Applications. His career at Lupin included roles such as General Manager, Deputy General Manager and Senior Manager – IT.
During his tenure at Lupin, Anumandala was involved in enterprise technology initiatives, including SAP-related transformation programmes. He recently highlighted the successful SAP S/4HANA 2023 upgrade carried out with Lupin, Accenture and SAP teams across geographies. The project involved moving from SAP S/4HANA 2020 to 2023 FPS03 and went live on 10 November.
Prior to Lupin, Anumandala worked with Accenture as an SAP FICO Associate Manager. His earlier career also included roles at General Mills India, where he worked as Senior SAP Analyst – Financials, as well as Capgemini Consulting and Bristlecone, where he worked as an SAP FICO Consultant.
His experience across SAP, enterprise applications, automation and IT transformation forms the professional background he brings to the Global CIO position at hubergroup.
hubergroup is an international company operating in printing inks and chemicals. Its business areas include printing inks, varnishes, printing auxiliaries and specialty chemicals. The company’s Chemicals Division produces specialty chemicals such as resins, laminating adhesives, pigments and additives at its plants in India.
The company was founded in 1765 and operates across multiple international markets. According to its 2023 sustainability report, hubergroup had operations across 27 countries and eight production sites, with 3,251 employees and a 2023 turnover of €729 million.
Anumandala’s appointment comes with his experience in managing enterprise technology functions and working on technology transformation programmes. His professional focus has included aligning IT initiatives with business requirements, enterprise applications, SAP, automation and digital transformation.
Announcing his new position, Anumandala said he was looking forward to the challenges and opportunities ahead and to creating an impact through technology and digital transformation.
With the new assignment, Anumandala takes on the role of SVP and Global CIO at hubergroup, following his leadership experience in Corporate IT Applications at Lupin and earlier SAP and IT roles at Accenture, General Mills India, Capgemini Consulting and Bristlecone.
