FMCG major Marico has acquired an additional 24.09% stake in Satiya Nutraceuticals, the parent company of plant-based nutrition and personal care brand Plix, for Rs 1,012.03 crore.
The acquisition, completed on October 5, 2026, has increased Marico’s stake in Satiya Nutraceuticals from 60% to 84.09% on a fully diluted basis. The transaction was carried out in cash.
Marico had earlier acquired a 60% stake in Satiya Nutraceuticals through multiple transactions and had the right to acquire the remaining 40% stake under definitive agreements.
As part of the latest transaction, Marico had entered into definitive agreements to acquire a total 38.18% stake in Satiya Nutraceuticals from the founders and certain other shareholders. The latest tranche involved the acquisition of 24.09% of the company.
The remaining 14.09% stake is expected to be acquired in July 2027, subject to the terms and conditions of the definitive agreements. The consideration for this remaining stake will include a base consideration of up to Rs 592 crore, along with additional consideration linked to milestones and other terms under the agreements.
Following the latest transaction, Marico’s aggregate consideration for its 84.09% stake in Satiya Nutraceuticals stands at Rs 1,392.07 crore.
Satiya Nutraceuticals was incorporated in February 2020 and is headquartered in Mumbai. The company owns The Plant Fix, or Plix, a plant-based nutrition and personal care brand operating across the health, wellness and personal care segments.
Satiya Nutraceuticals reported consolidated turnover of Rs 864.31 crore in FY26, compared with Rs 432.84 crore in FY25 and Rs 155.32 crore in FY24.
Marico has said that its investment in Satiya Nutraceuticals has expanded its total addressable market in value-added foods and nutrition while strengthening its presence in personal care and wellness categories.
The acquisition is part of Marico’s broader efforts to expand its portfolio of digital-first consumer brands. Its portfolio includes Beardo, Just Herbs and Skinetiq in beauty, as well as True Elements in wellness. In 2026, Marico also acquired 4700BC and Cosmix, adding healthy snacking and plant-based nutrition brands to its portfolio.
With the latest acquisition, Marico has further increased its ownership of Satiya Nutraceuticals and Plix, while retaining an agreement to acquire the remaining 14.09% stake in July 2027, subject to the agreed terms and conditions.
