With over 16 years of experience in human resources and industrial relations, Sawant brings a wealth of expertise to the role. He is recognized for building strong industrial harmony, managing complex IR landscapes, and driving proactive compliance initiatives in highly regulated sectors.
Prior to joining Kotak Mahindra Bank, Sawant held a key leadership position at Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Limited, where he served for nearly six years. At Crompton, he led employee relations and compliance governance while partnering closely with business units across sales, manufacturing, and innovation functions. His strategic approach helped strengthen ER frameworks and operational efficiency across multiple sites.
Earlier in his career, Sawant played pivotal HR roles at Suzlon Group and INEOS ABS (USA) Corporation, where he was instrumental in managing plant-level HR operations, industrial negotiations, and workforce development initiatives. His ability to navigate complex IR environments and implement forward-looking HR practices has earned him a strong reputation as a reliable HR strategist.
